Join Our Team as a Residential Childcare Support Worker!
Salary:
* Unqualified: Base salary of £29,112.72 to £30,008.16 upon successful completion of the probation period.
* Qualified: Base salary of £30,641.52 (must hold a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent).
Specific Hours: 08:00 am - 20:00 pm (12-hour shifts)
Location: Greater London (Covering Area Camden homes in Camden, Haringey & Islington)

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the lives of our young people. You will not only keep them safe but also foster their growth, learning, and development. You’ll be a vital link between Area Camden and the local community, helping those with emotional and behavioral challenges to thrive.
Main Responsibilities
* Promote and support young people in leading a life of positive development within a safe and nurturing environment.
* Provide emotional and social support, helping them build meaningful relationships with peers and adults.
* Encourage self-esteem and ensure each young person feels respected and valued.
* Support young people in making positive life choices and achieving independence.
* Maintain accurate records of events and observations, including daily and monthly progress updates.
* Assess the needs of children and young people, formulating and reviewing care plans under the guidance of your manager.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including health advisors, social workers, and therapists.
* Assist with daily living needs in line with individual care plans.
* Engage in domestic duties, involving young people in meal planning and preparation for a balanced diet.
Required Attributes

* Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
* Experience in the care sector or residential care is preferred.
* Commitment to undertake a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare if not already qualified.
* Willingness to work some Bank Holidays.

* Holiday increase: 12 extra hours for 3 years (capped at 272 hours).
