We are passionate about working together to make a positive difference and improve the quality of lives of children and young people to ‘have the best life possible’ by providing them with a supportive environment that is centred around their individual needs. This will be achieved by promoting and valuing ‘Active Support’, ‘Positive Behaviour Support’, ‘Person Centred Planning’ and the ‘Reduction of Restrictive Practices’. By putting the individual at the centre of all support planning and developing strategies will enable him or her to develop skills in all aspects of their daily lives, building strong relationships with those surrounding them, developing independent living skills and becoming active members within their local communities through delivering high quality care.

Responsibilities
Provide support that focuses on individuals' needs; promote and uphold key practice approaches: Active Support, Positive Behaviour Support, and Person-Centred Planning; contribute to planning and implementing strategies to develop daily living skills and independent living; foster strong relationships with people supported and their networks; enable participation in local communities through high-quality care.
Qualifications
Welsh Language Skills: The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable. We are committed to the Welsh language and culture. Applications in Welsh and English are welcomed and treated equally. Free Welsh language classes are available in-person and online to support you.
Other notes: We welcome applications in both Welsh and English and do not treat forms received in either language less favourably. We encourage you to use Welsh at any level.
