Reports To: Workshop Supervisor
Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring all workshop operations are carried out in an efficient and technically sound manner. This includes repair, refurbishment, maintenance and LOLER testing of access equipment including booms, scissors, tracked machinery and material handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Repair, Refurbishment, Maintenance: To inspect new and used equipment and carry out agreed repairs, refurbishment and maintenance in line with company standards.
* LOLER Testing: To LOLER test new and used equipment in line with current legislation.
* Technical Support: To provide technical assistance to other workshop team members where necessary.
* Training and Development: To help mentor and train junior engineers.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed including inspection reports, repairs and parts used.
* Health & Safety: Comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Qualifications
* 2 years experience in a similar engineering role
Preferred Qualifications
* IPAF licence
* CAP licence
Key Skills and Competencies
* Knowledge of access equipment including mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
* Strong troubleshooting skills
* Experience with a variety of workshop equipment, tools and machinery
* Attention to detail with both technical work and documentation
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
* Full-time
* Workshop setting with exposure to machinery, tools and working at height
* Use of PPE required in workshop areas
* Outdoor yard environment in varying weather conditions
* Physically demanding
