Global Mobility Manager – Permanent (Hybrid – Any GTUK location)

The Global Mobility Manager at Grant Thornton leads the global mobility function, designing, delivering, and continuously improving mobility programmes to support international talent movement and ensure compliance, operational excellence, and strategic alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership and programme delivery: design, lead, and improve global mobility programmes, align frameworks, messaging, and processes across the organisation, provide guidance to outbound and inbound assignees.
  • Supplier and process management: oversee visa sponsorship renewal, manage internal and external suppliers, and maintain accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Core service delivery: lead end‑to‑end global mobility activities (recruitment, assignment, visa renewal), support colleagues, review and improve operational processes, manage complex cases with immigration specialists.
  • Stakeholder engagement: collaborate with Talent & Recruitment, People Services, Security Vetting, and external suppliers, act as trusted advisor, build relationships with senior stakeholders and partner firms.
  • Reporting and continuous improvement: produce regular reporting on mobility and immigration activity, monitor supplier performance, identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve assignee experience.
  • Operational oversight: ensure high‑quality, efficient, compliant service, align policies and strategies, monitor outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Significant experience in Global Mobility, Immigration, Resourcing, or a related People function.
  • Experience working with specialists on taxation requirements for international assignees.
  • Strong ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders in a complex organisation.
  • Deep knowledge of UK immigration rules and procedures (Skilled Worker, Global Business Mobility, EU Settled Status, Dependants, Youth Mobility, etc.).
