Role Overview: We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer Placement Student to provide practical, real-world electrical engineering experience within a rapidly growing sector. You will be supported by an established electrical and mechanical design team and will gain exposure to electrical design, coordination, site activity and commissioning, helping you understand how projects move from concept through to operation. This includes producing electrical installation drawings, plant schedules, and technical documentation; assisting with load calculations, BMS control design, and site surveys; and contributing to design coordination, commissioning, and handover activities. The role involves collaboration with project managers, commissioning teams, and the wider design team, using AutoCAD and MEP 3D tools across a range of technologies such as energy centres, heat pumps, CHP, biomass, gas boilers, and commercial PV systems.
