Overview
As a Senior Pensions Administrator, you’ll be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual administering a portfolio of occupational pension schemes, which could include DB, DC, and Hybrid pensions. Your responsibilities will include ensuring all tasks and calculations are performed accurately and promptly, allocating cases, performing and verifying both automated and manual calculations, drafting and reviewing correspondence and reports, managing pensioner payrolls, and supporting the Client Executive team. Additionally, you will supervise and train up to two pensions administrators, approaching each case with dedication and vigilance to provide the highest level of service to scheme members.
How you'll make an impact
* Carrying out and verifying pension administration tasks and calculations efficiently and accurately, in line with internal processes, company policies, and regulations.
* Managing workload considering time for peer reviews.
* Communicating with scheme members via email, letter, or telephone.
* Preparing and checking member correspondence and client reports, managing cashflows, investments/disinvestments, and invoices.
* Handling or reviewing non-standard client/member queries.
* Collaborating with team members and supporting teams, providing training, and assisting the Team Leader.
* Engaging actively with team members and the Team Leader throughout the day.
* Supporting the Client Executive team and participating in client meetings or new business pitches as needed.
About You
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in defined benefit / defined contribution pension scheme administration.
* Studying towards or achieved the Pension Management Institute’s CPC qualification.
* Strong analytical skills with a logical approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to process, input, and verify data accurately.
* Ability to apply pension knowledge effectively when peer reviewing cases.
* Excellent prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
* Effective communication skills via telephone, letter, and email.
* Ability to work well in a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
