Bookkeeper (St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust) Salary and Grade:(H5 9 - 14 Fringe) FTE £27,254 - £29,540 £729 (£27,983 - £30,269), depending on skills and experience £15,823 - £17,115 Pro Rata) Hours: 25 hours a week. Term-time Reporting to: Deputy Chief Financial Officer The St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust is looking to appoint an exceptional individual to join our central Trust team from January 2026. This new finance role will support the Deputy Chief Financial Officer in the Trust Finance function and will work as an integral part of the Trust Executive team to ensure the strong finances of the Trust are sustained and financial records are kept fully up to date at all times. Primarily a term-time only role there will on occasion be need for additional paid days during periods of school closures, we expect these to amount to no more than 10 days in any year. This role will be based on-site initially to ensure proper onboarding and collaboration. After this initial period, hybrid working arrangements may be considered, subject to business needs and performance. However, post holders must be able to attend the site as required for meetings, team activities, or operational needs. Established in September 2021, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust is formed of nine Academies. All Academies are strong schools, and the financial position of the Trust is equally strong. The Trust Bookkeeper will work closely with Finance leads and Head Teachers across the Trust to produce strong and robust transaction work whilst also assisting the CFO, DCFO and finance teams across the Trust with an array of financial bookkeeping tasks, including working alongside the DCFO to ensure that the monthly management accounts are always as accurate as possible and up to date.
