Electrical Engineer- Warehouse Environment
Initial 6-week contract (with potential to extend) £25-£27 per hour
Location: Peterborough PE2
Hays are working with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer to support ongoing maintenance works within a large warehouse environment.This is an initial 6-week contract, with the strong possibility of extension as the project progresses.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and carrying out like-for-like electrical fitting replacements across the warehouse. The role is hands-on and operational, supporting the safe and efficient running of electrical systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out general PPM works across the warehouse
* Completing like-for-like electrical fitting replacements
* Inspecting, repairing and replacing electrical components and equipment
* Responding to reactive maintenance issues where required
* Working in line with health & safety procedures and site standards
* Completing tasks efficiently with minimal supervision
What You'll Need
* Level 3 Electrical Qualification
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
* Previous experience in a warehouse, industrial or commercial environment
* Ability to work independently and follow maintenance schedules
* Strong awareness of electrical safety and compliance
