What we're looking for:
As our new
Software Engineer
, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions across CMap's platform. You'll take ownership of complex engineering challenges, contribute to architectural decisions, and help drive best practices across the development team - all while mentoring others and supporting a culture of technical excellence.
You will:
* Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable software solutions across the CMap platform
* Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
* Contribute to architectural decisions and help shape the long-term direction of our platform
* Champion best practices in coding, testing, and documentation across the team
* Take ownership of key features or systems, seeing them through from concept to delivery
* Review code, provide constructive feedback, and support continuous improvement
* Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and production issues
* Mentor and support less experienced engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration
What you'll need to succeed:
* 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
* Strong knowledge of software development best practices and design patterns
* Proven experience delivering scalable, production-grade applications
* Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, preferably C# and TypeScript, as that's what we work in
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
* Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Product and QA
* Comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced, and collaborative environment
