Job Title: Real Estate Claims Handler - CasualtyLocation: Chelmsford (Hybrid - 4 days in office, reducing to 3 post-probation)Salary: £30,000 – £35,000The opportunity:This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Claims Handler to join a collaborative and growing Real Estate division. You’ll manage a caseload of UK and European Public Liability claims from first notification through to settlement, working closely with clients, brokers, and insurers to deliver a high-quality, efficient service.Your responsibilities will include:Managing UK and European Public Liability claims (injury and property damage) from cradle to grave.Conducting detailed desktop investigations to assess policy coverage, liability, and reserve requirements.Liaising with clients, insurers, brokers, and internal teams to move claims toward swift and fair resolution.Proactively managing claim files, tasks, and diary actions.Preparing clear and accurate client reports, MI data, and invoicing.Ensuring compliance with technical procedures, internal standards, and GDPR requirements.About you - Knowledge and Experience:A minimum of 2 years’ experience handling Public Liability claims (beyond broking exposure).Experience handling property claims is desirable but not essential.Confident working both independently and within a technical team environment.Familiarity with the UK low-value claims portal; European claims experience is a plus.Strong communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and manage stakeholder relationships.Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and progress files proactively.Working towards a recognised claims qualification is desirable.Benefits:Life Assurance (Death in Service) SchemeCompany Private Healthcare SchemePension Scheme25 days holidayEmployee Assistance ProgrammeFinancial support with relevant qualifications after probation period complete.If this opportunity sounds like it could be of interest to you – or someone you know – we’d love to hear from you!
