Desktop Support Engineer
Contract Duration: 6 months (initially)
Location: Onsite in Leiston, Suffolk
Rate: Market rates (via Umbrella company)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to networks, applications, software, hardware, VPNs, printers, and mobile phones.
2. Managing incident queues.
3. Handling calls with customers and VIP user management.
4. Vendor management.
5. Responding promptly to reactive or proactive incidents.
6. Recording and documenting incident tickets.
7. Monitoring phones, emails, and Microsoft Teams chat for incidents.
8. Managing Windows 10 devices (Microsoft Managed Devices).
9. Technical troubleshooting and resolution of issues in Windows 10 operating system.
10. Antivirus management (Defender/McAfee).
11. Device movement and deployment as per project requirements.
12. Unpacking, repackaging, and shipping laptops/desktops.
13. Creating technical documentation, reports, and manuals.
14. Building and deploying workstations with standard images.
15. Providing Tech-Bar support for user queries.
16. Hardware asset and CDM management.
17. IT desk moves, patching, training room setup, and loan laptop management.
18. Managing device disposal and retirement.
19. Printer support, including consumables replacement.
20. Active Directory management, account unlocks, and password resets.
21. Travel within a 25-mile radius supporting users, with a site vehicle provided.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Experience troubleshooting Windows 10 issues.
* Knowledge of configuring Starlink satellite network devices.
* Experience with iPhone/iPad configuration.
* Managing user accounts on Azure portal.
* Creating Microsoft Teams in admin portal.
* Support knowledge of Applications & SharePoint.
* Office apps troubleshooting.
* Effective communication skills.
* Multitasking and time management skills.
* Customer service experience.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
* Ability to work independently on multiple tasks.
* Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
* Understanding of virtualization, Intune administration, and cloud printing.
* Asset inventory management.
* Experience with Microsoft Managed Desktop environment support.
* ITIL certifications or knowledge of ITIL processes.
