Deep Tech / Lab Automation / 3D Printing
The Opportunity
We are representing a high-growth, revenue-generating Deep-Tech pioneer that is redefining lab automation. Their core IP utilizes acoustic levitation—using sound-based technology for precision liquid handling and laboratory instrumentation.
As they prepare for global commercial launches over the next 12–24 months, they are seeking a foundational commercial leader to secure strategic R&D collaborations and build the sales engine from the ground up.
The Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be responsible for winning business. This is a dual-phase role:
* Phase 1: Identify and close high-value, co-development R&D partnerships with strategic customers.
* Phase 2: Transition into driving early-access programs and the full-scale commercial rollout of proprietary instrumentation.
You will act as the bridge between world-class scientists, founders, and the global market, converting technical validation into real commercial commitments.
Key Responsibilities
* Early Partnership Design: Identify and negotiate collaborative R&D projects with high-impact partners.
* Commercial Playbook: Build the tools, CRM infrastructure, and forecasting models for a fast-moving instrumentation pipeline.
* Market Strategy: Partner with Product and Marketing to define pricing, value propositions, and GTM strategy for breakthrough tech.
* Stakeholder Management: Coordinate technical demos with scientific founders and provide crisp revenue projections for investors.
The Ideal Candidate
* Track Record: 4+ years in Technical Sales, Business Development, or GTM roles within Life Sciences (specifically sample handling or analytical instrumentation).
* Closer Mentality: Proven experience winning and closing complex deals, not just "managing" a pipeline.
* Scientific Fluency: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both PhD-level scientists and commercial stakeholders.
* Startup DNA: Thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and is comfortable building processes from scratch.
* Domain Expertise: Familiarity with long technical validation cycles and lab procurement processes is essential.
