An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recovery Resettlement Practitioner (Housing Specialism) to join our dedicated Recovery Housing Team in Kent, working 35 hours per week on a full-time basis.
Available due to an internal promotion, this role offers the chance to become part of a supportive and ambitious service that is committed to helping individuals rebuild their lives through recovery, stable housing, and successful community reintegration.
Working with people in recovery, including those with complex needs and criminal justice involvement, you will provide tailored housing and resettlement support, helping clients secure accommodation, sustain tenancies, and achieve positive long-term outcomes.
What you’ll be doing:
* Delivering personalised housing, recovery and resettlement support
* Completing housing needs and risk assessments and developing bespoke support plans
* Supporting clients to access and maintain suitable accommodation
* Working closely with Probation, Local Authorities, housing providers, prisons, rehabs and community partners
* Facilitating 1:1 sessions, interventions and house meetings
* Connecting clients with employment, training, volunteering and wider support opportunities
* Maintaining accurate case records, care plans and service documentation
What we’re looking for:
* Experience supporting vulnerable adults with housing, homelessness or tenancy sustainment needs
* Knowledge of recovery-focused practice, substance misuse and trauma-informed approaches
* Understanding of the Criminal Justice System and the challenges faced by people in recovery
* Experience managing caseloads, conducting assessments and developing action plans
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Excellent organisation, record-keeping and IT skills
