SEN Support Worker – SEN School
Location: SEN School
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Until the end of the academic year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30
Pay: £ – £ per hour (dependent on experience, qualifications, and pay type)
Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Support Worker to work in a Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a rewarding full-time role, supporting students with a range of complex needs and helping them to access education in a safe, nurturing environment.
The Role:
1. Supporting students aged 11-16 with a range of SEN, including learning difficulties, autism, and additional needs
2. Providing personal care support where required (full training and guidance provided)
3. Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
4. Assisting with classroom activities and supporting learning outcomes
5. Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
6. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and SEN staff
The Ideal Candidate:
7. Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or care setting)
8. Comfortable with and committed to providing personal care
9. Patient, compassionate, and resilient
10. Strong communication and teamwork skills
11. A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
12. Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the child workforce
