This is a newly created Financial Controller role in a fast-growing, private equity-backed business operating across the UK and Australia.

What You’ll Actually Do
This isn’t steady-state control. It’s build and scale.
You will:
* Lead the in-housing of accounting operations and design how they work at pace
* Own group consolidation and statutory reporting across a growing multi-entity structure
* Act as the technical authority where judgement and expertise are needed
* Put scalable controls in place that protect without slowing the business down
* Improve cash visibility, forecasting and lender reporting with real commercial impact
* Introduce systems and automation that genuinely make life easier for the team
You’ll lead a team of 6–10 across AP, AR, general accounting and treasury. They’re capable and engaged. This is about development and direction, not rescue.
You’ll report to a collaborative Finance Director who wants a partner—someone with space to challenge, shape decisions, and grow.
