You will be joining a role in our busy, growing Regulation team in National Grid Electricity Transmission, right at the heart of National Grid's work in ensuring that our network is ready for the future. Overview
Responsible for supporting National Grid to navigating the regulatory and policy landscape to maximise allowances for our investments and manage regulatory risks through the lifecycle of projects.
Lead and deliver performance improvement projects
Managing key stakeholder relationships
Providing regulatory expertise to National Grid colleagues
Written and verbal communication skills, with significant experience of drafting complex submissions to key decision-makers.
Stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of colleagues.
An open, pragmatic mindset with the confidence to adapt within the regulation team to tackle unforeseen challenges and work effectively amid ambiguity.
Results oriented, able to manage timely delivery of complex projects, with a high level of attention to detail.
Commercial awareness, with a good understanding of commercial value and an ability to rapidly understand commercial value drivers in a new context.
Willing to learn about the transmission system, as needed.
Beneficial to have experience in energy policy or regulation, with understanding of the GB energy sector, its regulatory framework and our key stakeholders but not a requirement.
Degree level in a relevant discipline, or have an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
A competitive salary of £64k - £78k per annum, dependent on capability and experience.
An annual bonus of up to 30% and annual pay review.
