Key Responsibilities
* Conduct routine and specialised testing of pellet samples using laboratory equipment and standardised methods
* Analyse pellet bulk density, moisture content, durability, and other relevant physical properties
* Document and interpret test results, identifying trends or deviations from specifications
* Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and various factory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
* Perform daily safety checks and ensure the test room is cleaned and maintained to required standards
* Support the production team on the factory floor when needed
* Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to resolve material inconsistencies
* Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to relevant stakeholders
* Maintain thorough documentation of calibration register, archives, test results, and non-conformance register
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
* Support research and development initiatives by testing new pellet formulations or alternative materials
Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful applicant
Preferred Skills & Experience
* Familiarity with ENplus testing standards is highly desirable
* Understanding of pellet manufacturing processes
* Ability to troubleshoot and optimise laboratory testing procedures
* Prior experience in testing pellets would be advantageous
* Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
* Basic maths skills required
* Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential
