Training and Maintenance Facilitator – Indirect Fires Simulator

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Training Facilitator – IIDFS, supporting the delivery of world-class training across cutting-edge simulation platforms.
About the Role
As a Training Facilitator, you’ll play a key part in delivering high‑quality training on the Interim Indirect Fires Simulator (IIDFS), Joint Fires Synthetic Trainer (JFST) and Vulcan Driver/Crew simulators. You’ll directly support UK Land Forces—guiding personnel through immersive training scenarios in both simulated settings and live exercises enhanced by simulation.
You’ll report to the IIDFS Support Team Manager and work alongside technical specialists to ensure equipment is maintained, exercises run smoothly, and learning outcomes are achieved.
This role includes regular UK travel and the opportunity to travel internationally, sometimes under challenging conditions.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Training Delivery & Support
* Deliver high-impact training at customer locations worldwide, acting as the main point of contact for trainees.
* Guide participants through training objectives and provide expert advice during exercises.
Equipment Care & Technical Support
* Conduct routine equipment care and maintenance to keep simulation systems operational and ready to deploy.
* Assist with equipment reconfiguration, updates, refreshes, and re‑imaging as part of ongoing software maintenance cycles.
Customer Engagement & Site Support
* Carry out site visits and provide recommendations to ensure successful training setup.
* Deliver safe, correct user training on all simulation equipment.
Team Support & Development
* Support the induction and mentoring of new facilitators, ensuring they are fully prepared to deliver training confidently and effectively.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
We're looking for candidates with:
* UK Army experience
* Experience delivering training in simulated environments (ideally VBS4)
* Strong IT proficiency
* Working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
* Full driving licence, with ability to drive in the UK & overseas
