Role Overview
Mobile Vehicle Technician – RAC SMR Division. A new era of mobile repair.
* Competitive base salary of £45,378 (incl. London weighting allowance, if applicable) with on‑target earnings up to £57,000.
* Guaranteed overtime option to increase base salary, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
* Full‑time 40‑hour week, core hours 8:30 am–5:00 pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute routine servicing and diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
* Perform in‑depth repairs normally completed in a workshop.
* Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
* Carry out vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
* Work through a scheduled list of jobs, with time, tools and support needed for quality work.
Requirements
* Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
* Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
