Permanent, Part Time (0.6) – The Creative Industries School at Kingston College is seeking a passionate and industry‑savvy Media Lecturer to join their team. The post is funded for the 2026/27 academic year onwards, with successful candidates expected to commence no earlier than August 2026.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and practical vocational content on a range of courses and levels.
* Support students in developing higher‑level skills and an understanding of past, present, and future trends in Creative Media.
* Monitor and support at‑risk learners so they can achieve or exceed their potential.
* Facilitate meaningful work experience and industry placements integral to the Study Programme offer.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work toward one) and be recognised as a good or outstanding teacher.
* Hold a degree or higher, or an equivalent professional qualification, in a subject area relevant to Creative Media.
* Strong industry knowledge to support meaningful work experience and placements.
* Knowledge of media production techniques, including radio, podcasting, audio, journalism, print, film, TV broadcasting, social and online media, visual effects, motion capture, animation, and production management.
* Strong digital skills and proficiency with the Adobe Suite (After Effects, Premiere, audio software).
* Experience in evidence‑based teaching, learning and assessment.
