A Day in the Life
Your role will be to develop and maintain the Medtronic Embolisation, Deep Venous and Peripheral Vascular portfolio with existing and new customers. In line with the Sales Managers guidelines in the South London and South East Coastsales territory you will strive to meet and exceed financial and non-financial targets, in a way that enhances Medtronic’s reputation in the market.
You will develop a thorough understanding of the Embolisation, Deep Venous and PV therapy areas and be able to offer strong clinical support. Whilst being able to show a high level of commercial awareness you can simultaneously train and proctor in a clinical environment.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
1. Analyse the marketplace, develop an effective territory/account sales strategy, and present the strategy for the South London and South East Coast territory
2. Perform all activities to maximize sales from product introduction and presentation to complex contract negotiation
3. Build strong and lasting business relationships with key decision makers and those influential in the purchasing process
4. Monitor current tenders and prepare and build tender submission with internal stakeholders
5. Provide technical and clinical support to customers (i.e., physicians, consultants)
6. Conduct and monitor asset management of consignment and all other stock levels
7. Participate and support clinical procedures until an account is established with therapy on own territory
Required Knowledge and Experience:
8. Strong selling experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry with consistent over-plan performance
9. Advanced clinical cases support of complex conditions
10. Experience and proven ability to run education and training programmes
11. Thorough knowledge of the decision-making process with customers (economic buyer, reimbursement, ICBs, NHS Supply Chain)
12. Driving Licence
