Job summary: We are looking for a Robotics Engineer to design, integrate, and operate robotic systems for manufacturing processes, with a focus on welding and assembly. The role involves programming and maintaining robotic equipment, training staff, and ensuring production quality and safety standards are met. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with robotic welding systems, strong technical skills, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop robotic systems for manufacturing processes including, welding, assembly, material handling. Integrate robotic systems with existing manufacturing equipment and processes. Identify and select correct parts, jigs, and fixtures for welding operations. Fabricate complex metal assemblies from engineering drawings using jigs, fixtures, and manual techniques. Operate robotic welding systems, including loading/unloading, tacking, setting up parts, and handling pre-/post-process work. Input and adjust welding parameters such as voltage, amperage, wire feed rate, and travel speed. Conduct start-up checks. Program, test, and debug welding programs to ensure optimal weld and build quality. Ensure production output meets required timelines and quality benchmarks. Maintenance & Safety Carry out operator-level maintenance on welding machines and tooling. Monitor and replenish consumables (nozzles, tips, coolant, anti-spatter). Report damage or faults with machinery or tooling promptly. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company policies. Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. Other duties as and when required Requirements: HNC/HND or equivalent in an Engineering discipline with a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience, or Level 3 Engineering qualification with 5 years relevant experience Trained on robotic systems Experience in an engineering environment. Hands on experience operating robotic welding systems Experience using assembly jigs, fixtures, and manual welding tools Understanding of welding parameters and techniques Ability to interpret engineering drawings Good computer literacy Understanding of robotic functionality and motion types Work Environment: Office and Manufacturing environment Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm Friday 8am to 3pm Skills: Lean Manufacturing Engineering Design
