Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Manager to support major utility infrastructure upgrade projects at a high-security facility near Aldermaston. This role offers the chance to work on challenging civil engineering projects in a regulated environment, driving safe and successful delivery from design through to completion.
What You'll Do
* Lead and champion a strong safety culture on-site.
* Manage and co-ordinate supply chain contractors to ensure programme delivery.
* Collaborate with stakeholders - client, designer, engineering, and commercial teams.
* Prepare pre-construction information and subcontractor scopes.
* Oversee construction sequencing and site activities.
* Manage interfaces with ongoing operations and wider delivery teams.
* Ensure projects are delivered safely, right first time.
What We're Looking For
* Extensive experience delivering civil engineering projects, ideally in regulated environments.
* Strong background in utility projects - water sector experience is highly desirable.
* In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations, H&S legislation, and NEC contracts.
* Holder of a black CSCS card (civil engineering preferred).
* CITB SMSTS (or equivalent) preferred.
* Extra beneficial skills: Lifting AP / TWC.
Security Requirements
DV clearance preferred, or SC with eligibility and willingness to upgrade. Must be a UK Citizen with 10 years continuous residency in the UK.
