What’s in it for you? * Work hours: Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 5pm; Friday 8.30am to 4pm * Salary: Up to £34,000 * 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing after 2 years' service * Holiday buy back scheme following 2 years' service * Up to 50% retail discounts * Access to EAP and Health Cash Plan * Contributory pension scheme * Optional access to BHSF scheme * Free tea and coffee HR Advisor Responsibilities: * Oversee ER cases from start to finish, handling disciplinary and grievances across the company * Lead disciplinary and grievance investigations, which includes advising managers, chairing meetings, taking minutes, and making final decisions * Assist with recruitment, which involves liaising with Managers, creating job descriptions, placing job adverts, shortlisting responses and interviewing candidates * Take ownership of the induction process, successfully onboarding new starters and ensuring all new starter documentation is completed * Support with redundancies * Create new policies and procedures and updating existing policies in line with legislation * Manage the HR inbox, swiftly and accurately responding to incoming queries from employees * Collaborate with recruitment agencies and the warehouse team to arrange agency appointments * Work closely with the payroll team, informing them of new starters, leavers, and absence * Maintain the HR system, ensuring all data and personnel files are accurate and up-to-date * Gather data to create reports using Excel spreadsheets HR Advisor Skills and Experience: * Proven track record in a HR Generalist role, already operating at Advisor level and capable of hitting the ground running * Experience handling ER cases from start to finish and confident in making decisions * Knowledge of HR legislation and keeps up to date with employment law news and updates * Pro-active in your approach to work, with a can-do attitude and happy to take on responsibility * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and build rapport * Strong IT skills, with particular knowledge of Microsoft Excel * Possesses a full driving licence and can travel UK wide
