We are seeking a deeply experienced and values-driven Operations Director & Nominated Individual to lead regulatory compliance and operational excellence in our Ofsted-regulated supported accommodation for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC). This role is pivotal in safeguarding young people and ensuring service quality aligns with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023, while modeling leadership that inspires trust, collaboration, and systemic impact.Reporting directly to the Trustees, the postholder will serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), line manage the Registered Service Manager, and play an active role in shaping strategic direction. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Operational LeadershipLead compliance with Ofsted regulations and oversee service readiness for inspections.Collaborate with Trustees and senior leaders to drive continuous service improvement.Serve as a central leadership voice on safeguarding, performance monitoring, and statutory policy adherence. People & Culture Leadership: Supervise and mentor the Registered Manager and broader team, fostering a supportive, high-performance environment.Ensure robust staff recruitment, training, and retention strategies are in place. Uphold Enthum House's trauma-informed ethos and promote a culture of dignity, respect, and youth empowerment.Quality Assurance & Safeguarding: Maintain oversight of safeguarding procedures, incident reporting, and policy effectiveness.Ensure individual plans and outcomes for young people are reviewed and optimized regularly. Oversee service audits, monitoring reports, and regulatory documentation. Regulatory and Stakeholder EngagementLiaise with Ofsted and Local Authorities, ensuring all compliance standards are met or exceeded.Contribute to external reporting, inspections, and strategic planning initiatives. Represent the service in external forums, marketing efforts, and public speaking engagements.Required Qualifications & Experience: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).Substantial experience in Ofsted-regulated environments or children's residential care.
