The Role
This field-based team leadership role focuses on supporting the local Technicians in their day to day role and assisting your line manager in the delivery of service excellence to our customers. You will be responsible for delivering specific KPIs set out by the business, with the Operations Manager remaining accountable. Key responsibilities include:
7. Acting as the direct supervisor and line manager for maintenance technicians in the roof terrace team.
8. Providing frontline support in customer engagement to help drive the business forward.
9. Assisting the Operations Manager in optimising the productivity of the Technician team.
10. Ensuring that quality control measures are followed and regularly checked as well as carrying out quality audits on customer sites.
11. Carrying out quarterly TPAs (Technical Performance Assessments) to support in creating development plans for Technicians in the branch.
12. Overseeing the procurement process and ensuring Technicians have the necessary preparations and equipment.
13. Offering daily technical support and assisting with training Technicians on the frontline.
14. Spending at least four days a week in the field
15. Leading the team in developing and implementing 'Best Practices' for service delivery.
16. Responsible for planning and organising routes for the branch technicians.
17. Handling customer complaints and queries where necessary with support of branch operations managers & local business development managers/national account managers.
18. Support with surveys when required to establish accurate requirements
19. On occasions you may need to cover maintenance contractual work when required
20. Provide cover for other members of the management team and cover the management of other contracts as and when necessary.

21. Full UK driving licence held for more than two years, with no more than six penalty points.
22. Have demonstrated leadership skills in a working environment.
23. Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt quickly to changes in the work environment.
24. Must have worked in a Technician role for a minimum of 1 year
25. Self-motivated and an excellent problem solver
26. Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
27. Resilient with a positive attitude
28. Ability to work unsupervised and work well under pressure
29. Experience in managing within a service delivery environment would be advantageous but this is something we can offer training on
30. Flexibility with working patterns to support business needs.
