Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to work on busy construction sites across Reading and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will carry out a variety of carpentry tasks on residential and commercial building projects while maintaining high standards of workmanship and site safety.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out first fix and second fix carpentry on construction sites
2. Install stud walls, joists, flooring, doors, frames, skirting, and architraves
3. Read and work from site drawings and plans
4. Work alongside site managers and other trades to meet project deadlines
5. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with site regulations
6. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard
Requirements:
7. Valid CSCS Card (essential)
8. Proven experience working as a carpenter on construction sites
9. Ability to complete both first fix and second fix carpentry
10. Own tools required
11. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a team
12. Good understanding of site health and safety procedures
