Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in early childhood education. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their safety and development while fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery setting.
* Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and well-being.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive team environment.
* Ensure the nursery is safe, clean, and organised at all times.
* Support children's individual needs, including those with special educational needs or disabilities.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Skills
* Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
* A solid understanding of the EYFS and practices.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
