JobSummary:
We have anexciting opportunity for a Council Tax Officer to join our CouncilTax team within the Income & Debt department at EnfieldCouncil.
KeyDuties/Accountabilities:
The successfulcandidate will work as part of a fastpaced team and be responsiblefor the administration of Council Tax accounts in line with currentlegislation ensuring all necessary action is taken to collectrevenue efficiently andeffectively.
They willprocess moves in out and within the authority deal withapplications for reliefs and exemptions and make paymentarrangements with customers.
The rolerequires the skills to effectively respond to enquiries received byletter telephone and electronically as well as undertakingproactive work to improve collection and recoverdebt.
Responsible fordelivering to a high standard the collection/assessment supportservice menus working across the Assessment Hub as a pooledresource to ensure effective operation of the services.
Including butnot limited to the assessment and determination of income relatedbenefits and other reductions complex collection service mattersdata entry customer contact and understanding service specificcollection/assessment tasks.
EssentialExperienceRequired:
A knowledge ofCivica Open Revenues systems would bepreferable.
We are lookingfor someone with recent relevant Council Tax experience as anessentialrequirement.
You will beable to demonstrate a good standard of numeracy and literacy beable to work using your own initiative prioritise conflictingdeadlines managing your time efficiently with good communicationskills.
You will be anenthusiastic committed team player understanding best practice andcustomer contact procedures with experience in debtcollection.

This positionis subject to a DBScheck.
This is afulltime role with core hours between 8:30am to4:30pm.
Successfulcandidates will be required to work remotely subject tochange.
Placement willinitially be for a period of three months to bereviewed.
