Perioperative Practitioner – Luxury Aesthetics Clinic, Harley Street £45,000 – 60,000 per annum pro-rata / from £25 per hour Hours: typically 8-hour shifts (weekdays and weekends from 07:00 to 21:00 on rota) Contract type: Part-time and bank Location: Harley Street, London About the company Elite Body Sculpture is very well established in America and in 2023 opened their first overseas location at number 51 Harley Street, London. Our state of the art clinic will deliver, what we believe to be, the best solution to permanent body fat reduction in a luxury environment. While many Cosmetic Practices offer a wide range of plastic surgery services but specialize in none, we focus exclusively on body contouring through the minimally invasive removal of unwanted fat using our patented cutting-edge Airsculpt® technology. Patients are awake during the procedure and may choose to listen to music whilst the Surgeon sculpts their body's shape, as discussed and planned at their consultation. This is exceptional technology performed by skilled surgeons with precise care. The Opportunity We now seek to increase our committed and enthusiastic team and are recruiting Perioperative Practitioners to join our team on both a part-time basis and our Bank. Our ideal candidates will be passionate about high standards of patient care and providing a great experience for those in their care. Excellent communication skills are also a must in our highly collaborative, fast-paced and demanding environment. While previous experience in Aesthetic Practice is an advantage, we also welcome applications from Practitioners who have a genuine interest in developing a career within the rapidly expanding Medical Aesthetics industry and have previous experience in a surgical setting. You must be an NMC Registered Nurse or a Registered ODP, preferably with at least 2 years of clinical experience to include an understanding of Asepsis and the maintenance of the sterile field within the peri-operative setting. The successful applicants will receive specialist training in being part of the team assisting the Surgeon and caring for the Patient. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Completing preoperative assessments including a medical history. Prepare operating rooms and all equipment in accordance with strict clinical protocols. Provide assistance to the surgeon Monitor patients’ during procedures and collaborate in post-operative recovery. Delivering post operative wound care and assessment Ensuring compliance with CQC requirements Ensuring the highest level of patient care and patient experience Documenting clinical and surgical patient notes appropriately and accurately Communicating effectively with the wider team Consistently following policies and procedures to ensure positive patient outcomes Remaining tactful, mature and able to work effectively as a member of a team Completing other projects and / or duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by Clinical Leadership. To strictly follow the Policies and Protocols set out with regard to Medicines Management. This will include the storage, preparation, checking, labelling, documentation and administration of medicines as prescribed. We are able to offer part-time and casual hours across the week and operate a rota to cover opening times in the evening and weekends. There will be several shift patterns available which will be discussed during the interview process, but all team members will need to be prepared to cover some evenings and weekends. Person specification - Essential criteria At least 1 year of experience in a surgical setting (minor surgery acceptable) with a sound understanding of Asepsis and the maintenance of the sterile field within the peri-operative setting. Previous experience in cosmetic/aesthetic surgery is highly desirable. Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills. A passion for delivering outstanding patient care in a private clinic setting. Evidence of a good standard of written English. Up to date training and test in drugs calculation. A complete and accurate application that demonstrates suitability for the role evidenced in a supporting statement. Valid NMC or HCPC registration.
