Starting Salary: £31,000 - £40,500

The Service Engineer (Field) role is suitable for engineers from various backgrounds such as plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, or similar equipment. It is also a great opportunity for vehicle technicians seeking to transition into a new industry, as the company provides full training. Candidates should demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, with ideally some engine diagnostic and electrical skills.
The company manufactures forklift trucks. As part of a local team, your responsibilities will include carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on forklifts and related equipment in the Kettering/Corby/Wellingborough area. No extensive travel or overnight stays are required. Overtime is available mainly during weekdays.
The Service Engineer (Field) Role in Brief:
* Perform PPM and breakdown services on materials handling machinery in the field
* Provide reactive breakdown coverage within the designated area
* Complete comprehensive training to become fully competent with all machinery and equipment
* Ensure spares are stocked in the van overnight
The Person Required:
* Experience with plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, or similar equipment; automotive technicians/motor trade backgrounds are also suitable
* Engine diagnostics and basic electrical skills
* Ideally hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject
