: SQL Server DBA
Location : Camberley (3 days a week onsite)
Duration : 12 Months
Status : Inside IR35
Hours: 35-40/hours (Week)
Rate: Circa /Day
Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes.
Experience and Skills required :
1. SQL Server Instance/Database Upgrade and Migration
2. Clustering, Database Mirroring, Log Shipping, AlwaysOn Replication (Implementation / Design / Support).
3. Working knowledge of PowerShell Scripting
4. Database Performance Tuning, Optimisation Diagnostics (using SQL Profiler/Server-side trace profiler, Extended Events, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, Execution Plan and Performance Monitor)
5. Should be able to write T-SQL code (Views, Functions, Stored Procedures Triggers) - Development and Optimisation
6. SQL Server Integrated Service (SSIS) or DTS -Administration
7. SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) -Administration
8. SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) -Administration
9. Backup Recovery, Index Design and Analysis
10. Experience of managing large databases
11. Monitor system's health and performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security.
12. Should be able to work in focussed environment with applications sensitive to quick response to issues
13. Familiar with ITIL - Service Management (Change, Release, Problem and Incident Management)
14. Familiar with Windows Operating System Administration (Windows )
Responsibilities:
15. Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database.
16. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes.
17. resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
18. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
