Your new companyHays are working in partnership with a Primary School in Blackpool who are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant on a permanent basis to start in September 2024. The school are looking for either a newly qualified or experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team.Your new roleAs a teaching assistant, you are responsible for providing support and assistance to the pupils, whether it be in a group or 1:1 setting, as well as supporting the class teacher across both KS1 and KS2 year groups. There is always the potential to move round different year groups depending on the schools' needs, so you will need to be flexible and adapt your skills to meet the needs of the children. This is particularly important when working in SEN schools, as here they work based on pupil ability rather than age. By being a teaching assistant, you should possess good behaviour management skills and hit the ground running by building up those relationships with pupils as well as staff.
