We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Food Production Specialist. This role is essential in ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety within our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with experience in butchery and a commitment to maintaining food safety protocols.
Responsibilities
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
* Maintain accurate records of food production processes to ensure traceability and compliance with food safety regulations.
* Cutting, grinding, and preparing meats according to customer specifications and company standards.
* Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring all work areas remain sanitary and organized.
* Ensuring product displays and signage are accurate, attractive, and aligned with brand standards.
* Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products with attention to detail and consistency.
* Maintaining accurate records, managing inventory, and working within budgetary guidelines.
* Conducting quality inspections on incoming meats and products to ensure freshness and safety.
* Negotiating and confirming orders with suppliers to meet inventory needs.
* Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations in all aspects of work.
* Interacting with customers by providing expert advice, answering questions, and accepting orders .
Requirements
* Proven experience in food production or culinary roles, preferably within a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and butchery skills are highly desirable.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
