Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Aberdeen, is currently looking to recruit a Support Assistant for an initial 3-month contract with potential to extend on a rate of c.£13.27/hour PAYE.
This role will be based on site.
Responsibilities:
To be part of a team that will be required to carry out a range of administrative and clerical functions needed to support the organisation
Assist in the provision, preparation and collation of information, maintaining all records, files and systems
Carry out general administrative tasks, such as word processing and data input, in order to provide a high-quality standard of service.
Analyse information and schedule activities in order to contribute to the smooth operation of the Organisation’s Services team.
Be the first point of contact for customers, resolving queries where possible
Handle petty cash and process invoices.
Respond independently and solve problems encountered by the service/service users, working within the policies of the service and the council
Keep up to date with new legislation relating to the Organisational Services
General administrative procedures
Essential Skills:
Ability to keep accurate records and check paperwork for accuracy
Ability to communicate with others effectively
Ability to use a variety of non-standard and standard office IT packages, including Microsoft Office, Internet and email systems
Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
Ability to deal with members of the public
Communicates information clearly and concisely
Responds to other people's communication in a timely manner
Asks appropriate questions to check understanding
Understands and responds appropriately to customers’ needs
Meets and maintains standards consistently
Is courteous, polite and considerate to all
Respects the organisation’s equipment, premises and property
