We are excited to offer opportunities for Night Shift Interior Train Cleaners at Cauldwell Walk Train Depot. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring trains are spotless, safe, and ready to provide a welcoming experience for passengers each morning.
Working nights from 22:00 to 05:00, Monday to Friday, you will join a dedicated team executing full and deep cleaning processes. Your hands-on work will include vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing key touch points to maintain the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards. Weekend overtime shifts may also be available at management discretion. Every shift delivers visible results, and your work will make a real difference to passenger comfort and safety.
In return, you will earn a competitive starting rate of £13.85 per hour, with enhanced pay for overtime, rest days, and Sunday nights. Wages are paid weekly, with a pay increase after 12 weeks under Agency Workers' Rights. You will receive full PPE and comprehensive on-the-job training to help you succeed. This role is a great entry point into the rail industry, with opportunities to progress into train presentation roles or even engineering positions.
Responsibilities
* Perform night shift interior cleaning of trains to ensure cleanliness, safety, and passenger comfort.
* Vacuum, mop, and sanitize key touch points as part of full and deep cleaning processes.
* Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards; use provided PPE.
* Maintain high standards of presentation for trains at the start of each day.
* Adhere to schedule and adapt to overtime shifts as required by management.
Qualifications
* Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to high standards.
* Physically capable to carry out active, hands-on duties.
* Experience in cleaning, industrial, or manual work is advantageous but not essential; work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in work are key.

* You will be joining one of the UK's major rail networks, operating a large fleet of trains across multiple routes and connecting city centres, towns, and rural communities.
