We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the team at Bannerman Road Community Academy. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide targeted support for pupils, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities:

Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, small groups or whole classes under teacher direction.

Lead lessons when required, ensuring a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Adapt learning resources to meet the needs of all pupils including those with additional needs.

Promote positive behaviour in line with the academies policies and values.

Assess, monitor and record pupils progress providing feedback to teachers

Pay range:

SCP 19 - 23 - £14,861.39 - £15,961.36

FTE - £32,061.00 - £34,434.00

19.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Part Time, Permanent

Qualifications and Skills:

Teaching Assistant Level 3 or above qualification (or equivalent)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to leas whole-class learning confidently

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Adaptability and flexibility in a busy school environment
