Job Description
3. Preparing correspondence and legal documents from digital dictation;
4. Answering calls, taking messages and helping clients visiting the office;
5. Maintaining diaries and arranging appointments;
6. File management, both hard copy and soft copy using client management software;
7. Opening and closing files and sending documents to central depository for storage;
8. Assisting with Anti-Money Laundering checks using provided systems;
9. General administrative duties including photocopying, scanning of documents, filing etc;
10. Providing cover for reception services if required;
11. Preparation of fees and associated administration;
12. Office based.
The Successful Applicant
13. Demonstrated experience of working as a legal secretary/administrator within a Private Client legal environment in the production of relevant documents preferred, but training can be given;
14. Communication skills that demonstrate professional and polished conduct with clients, partners and employees;
15. Excellent IT skills including full MS Packages especially Word and Excel;
16. Audio and copy typing speed of at least 60wpm;
17. Working knowledge and confidence in using office equipment such as photocopiers, scanners, etc;
18. Ability to work with, and willingness to take direction from various levels of legal staff from partner to trainee;
19. Pleasant telephone manner and ability to field telephone call and assist clients with their queries.
