As Category Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting procurement strategy and execution. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders and suppliers to deliver high-impact cost-saving projects and support the development of new products. The Opportunity: As a Category Buyer youll play a key role in: Driving year-on-year cost reductions aligned with strategic KPIs Delivering best-in-class Total Cost of Acquisition across categories Developing and implementing commodity strategies to strengthen supply chain performance Supporting the introduction of new products in collaboration with Quality and Supply Chain teams Conducting risk assessments and shaping robust supplier contingency plans Your work will directly contribute to supplier innovation, enhanced operational efficiency and long-term commercial sustainability. About You: Were looking for someone who can bring: A minimum of 3 years procurement experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment Proven track record of achieving cost savings and supplier performance improvements Strong commercial acumen with experience managing supplier portfolios over £2 million Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, both internal and external Desirable: CIPS qualification or working towards, experience with lean manufacturing principles You will be highly organised, results-driven and confident influencing at all levels. Your ability to foster supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement will be key to your success.
