Duties & Responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Team Lead to join NHS Lothian’s Clinical Education and Training Team. This role is responsible to design, develop and deliver education to support NHS Lothian’s Mental Health services. This post reports to the Deputy Chief Nurse for Clinical Education and Training as well as having a dotted line to the Lead Nurses for Advanced Practice Education. The successful candidate will work closely with REAS to ensure education provision including the Clinical Assessment and Decision Making Module and Advanced Practice are aligned to clinical service and organisational priorities.
This role provides leadership within Clinical Education and Training and will provide operational and performance management for Clinical Educators enabling opportunities for service improvement to be delivered through education.
There will be interprofessional working both within Clinicial Education and Training, REAS, within the wider NMAHP teams and NHS Lothian teams.
The successful candidate will have a high level of autonomy and will work in a self-directed way within the parameters set for the post, responsible for prioritising workload and ensuring delivery of an effective and efficient service

Key Requirements
Registered nurse-Mental Health
plus: Educated to SCQF level 11 or equivalent
Experience of service planning, performance monitoring, budgetary and people management.
Evidence of leading and implementing education and change, which relates to improved staff and patient experience and outcomes.
