Position: Fabricator
Location: Caldicot
Type of position: permanent
Salary: £33000 to £41600 per annum
Working hours: 0700 - 1600 (Monday-Thursday) and 0700 - 1300 (Friday), 40 hours a week
We are now seeking to recruit Fabricator/ Welder for a busy manufacturing company based in Caldicot. The appropriate fabricator would be responsible for welding and fabricating of structural steel components to engineering drawings.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate and weld metal components and structures according to specifications and drawings.
* Read and interpret Engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and welding.
* Operate various fabrication and welding equipment, including welding machines, cutting torches, vertical drilling, bending machines and grinders.
* Perform quality control checks to ensure fabricated components meet specifications and standards.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient project completion.
* MIG & TIG welding.
* Carry out cutting, grinding, finishing, and any additional fabrication (machining, fitting, bolting) required to meet design tolerances.
Requirements
* Time served apprenticeship or similar in welding/fabrication.
* Background and Experience fabrication.
* Any relevant qualifications are a bonus.
* Experience/background working within a manufacturing environment.
* Good understanding of Health and Safety.
* Previous experience in using grinders, drills, oxy/acetylene cutting equipment, press brake, rolls will be required.
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
