The Role
We are seeking a CNC Machine Technician to increase capability and capacity in this area, working on small batch work. This role involves working in a small team to deliver high quality transmission components, mainly for the motorsport and aerospace industries, with a right first-time philosophy.
Key Competencies And Experience
* Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and planning route cards to produce components to a high standard within routed timeframes
* Experience operating the following gear manufacturing machines: Gleason GP300 ES Shaping Machine; Gleason-Pfauter 200 Hobbing Machine; Liebherr LC20 Hobbing Machine
* Strong knowledge of cutting spur gears, helical gears, and splines using hobs and gear data provided in drawings
* Able to read, understand, and edit programmes, including modifying speeds and feeds as necessary
* Demonstrates a proactive and innovative approach to supporting the team, with a focus on problem solving and continuous improvement
* Flexible in supporting other areas of manufacturing when required
* Willingness to work additional hours to meet delivery deadlines
