Technical Delivery Leader – Data
Location: Norwich
Salary: Circa £75,000
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Delivery Leader within Data to shape and lead the Change Delivery capability across our Customer Data Platforms.
This role sits at the centre of delivering technology and data change that underpins our marketing capabilities and operational customer data. You will operate across a complex and evolving platform landscape, ensuring delivery is not only efficient and predictable, but also delivers measurable business value.
This is a leadership role that combines strong delivery discipline with commercial awareness in a technical/data-driven environment.
A bit about the job:
* Lead and mature end-to-end delivery capability, ensuring change is delivered with consistent cadence, high quality, and clear business outcomes
* Optimise the end-to-end value stream, improving flow, transparency, and efficiency, while balancing platform stability, risk, and regulatory requirements
* Build and lead a high-performing delivery community, coaching Agile Delivery Specialists and Scrum Masters to embed best practice across teams
* Strengthen planning and governance, ensuring clear roadmaps, well-defined scope, and credible, outcome-focused commitments
* Establish meaningful delivery metrics and insights, enabling transparency, data-driven decisions, and proactive management of delivery risks
* Champion pragmatic Agile ways of working, adapting approaches to suit both engineering teams and broader programme environments
* Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, building strong relationships across business and technology to ensure aligned and responsive delivery
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement, embedding accountability, ownership, and a focus on outcomes across teams
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Proven experience leading delivery across complex, multi-team environments, ideally within data or technology platforms
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and align diverse teams
* A solid understanding of Agile principles and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), with the ability to apply them pragmatically
* Experience in coaching and developing delivery professionals, building capability and fostering high-performance teams
* A track record of uplifting delivery capability, particularly through the introduction of consistent metrics, reporting, and governance
* A delivery‑first mindset, with a clear focus on driving outcomes and enabling teams to succeed
What you’ll get for this role:
* Starting salary circa £75,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
* Bonus opportunity –12% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
