Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School in Chorlton-cum-Hardy

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Chorlton-cum-Hardy is seeking a committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their support team from September 2025.
This is a rewarding role ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people—particularly those with additional learning needs or EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with special educational needs
* Assist class teachers in managing behaviour and supporting inclusive classroom practice
* Help students access the curriculum and reach their full potential
* Build positive, trusting relationships with students to boost confidence and engagement
* Monitor progress and work closely with SENCOs, teachers and parents
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with children or young people, particularly in an educational or care setting
* A calm, patient, and empathetic nature
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to adapt support to individual student needs
* A genuine interest in supporting students with SEND or SEMH needs
