About the Role
Based in the papermaking mill at our Trafford Park site this exciting, newly established role will support local projects and initiatives.

What You Will Do
Day to day the Technology Area Engineer will:
* Participate in technology projects
* Contribute to feasibility studies.
* Document and communicate technical risks and potential business consequences during development
* Support TAM to provide input to project recommendation if project is ready to pass stage gate / toll gate from a technology perspective
* Provide input to Capex requests documentation.
* Contribute to the set-up of Technology Requirement Specification
* Participate and actively contribute to the development of strategic machine platforms, starting with safety and including digital and process control solutions
* Collect and evaluate feedback to understand current machine losses and drive development of safety and performance improvements together with machine suppliers and manufacturing organization
* Support the pre-development of future disruptive innovations
* Contribute to rating of machine supplier performance
Who You Are
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Technical background with University Degree in Science, Mechanical, Electrical or related fields
* Experience within papermaking is extremely advantageous
* Experience from manufacturing operations, technology and/ or R&D
