Machine Operator
Paying £14 to £16.00 per hour - weekly pay - regular ongoing work
Our prestigious client based in Brownhills - is looking for an experienced machine operator to run a production cell with CNC machines and robots. The role will involve keeping production going manufacturing car parts, quality inspection, dealing with paperwork and physical work loading parts onto machines
Hours of work are:
4 days on, 4 days off 8am to 8pm (which includes weekends)
Pay starts at £14.00 per hour - increases to £16.00 per hour after 12 weeks
Duties of a Machine Operator
Will be operating CNC Machines - sometimes working 3 cells at the same time
Loading automotive parts onto a belt to feed the robots with work
Changing fixtures and fittings for different jobs
Filing / grinding / fettling - using power tools
Quality Inspection to a high standard
Heavy physical lifting of parts - upto 20kg
Using hoists, PPT and pump trucks
Maxing up boxes
Working to targets Experience required for a Machine Operator
Previous factory work / machine operating work
Worked with CNC machines or within cells that have used robots
Used hand tools / power tools an advantage
Be able to change tools, fixtures and fittings previous setting experience would be an advantage
Understanding the work flow process
Use hoists or PPT and pump trucks
Worked within the metal industry
Must be numerate and literate and be able to complete the paperwork for the role
Physically fit as the role involves heavy lifting and moving around the section
Previous manufacturing and production experience an advantage - but training is provided Details of a Machine Operator
