Role Purpose
The M&A HR Advisor will support the HR Projects and Implementation Lead in delivering end to end people support across mergers and acquisitions within Campions Group. The role will focus on HR due diligence, TUPE, consultation, integration planning, and post acquisition harmonisation, ensuring legal compliance while supporting a positive employee experience throughout change.
This role is critical in supporting the growth strategy of the business by ensuring people risks are identified, managed, and mitigated during M&A activity.
Key Responsibilities
M&A & Due Diligence Support
Support HR due diligence activities for acquisitions, including:
Review of employee data, contracts, benefits, and policies
Assist in the preparation of HR sections of M&A papers, reports, and risk registers
Work closely with Legal, Finance, Payroll, and external advisors to ensure accurate information exchange
TUPE & Employee Consultation
Support TUPE transfers in line with UK employment legislation, including:
Collection and validation of Employee Liability Information (ELI)
Support the coordination of collective and individual consultation meetings
Integration & Change Management
Support the planning and delivery of post acquisition integration activities, including:
Onboarding transferred employees
Assist with change processes including restructures, redundancies, and harmonisation projects
Stakeholder & Employee Support
Act as a point of contact for transferred employees, managers, and regional leaders during the integration period
Provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters arising from M&A activity
Support consistent messaging and a positive employee experience during periods of change
HR Operations & Governance
Ensure accurate and timely transfer of employee data into HR and payroll systems following acquisitions or TUPE transfers
Create and maintain employee files for all transferred employees, ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant
Ensure all M&A and TUPE related documentation (including contracts, ELI, consultation records, and correspondence) is saved centrally and securely for future reference and audit purposes
Maintain clear and up to date M&A HR trackers, integration plans, and action logs
Support compliance with UK employment legislation, internal HR policies, and group governance standards
Work closely with HR Operations and Payroll Team to ensure consistent processes and data integrity across the business
Skills & Experience
Essential
Proven HR Advisory experience, ideally within a multi site or retail/estate agency environment
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
Excellent written communication skills, including employee and stakeholder communications
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
Desirable
Experience within the property, estate agency, or professional services sector
Experience working within fast-growth organisations
Experience supporting change, integration, or restructuring programmes
