Adult Social Worker - Mental Health Commissioning and Review Officer

Are you an experienced and committed Adult Social Worker with a passion for mental health? Salford City Council is looking for two dedicated professionals to join our community mental health services as Mental Health Commissioning and Review Officers.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for individuals with mental health needs across Salford. You'll be integral to our integrated multi-disciplinary teams, working closely with health professionals to deliver the best possible outcomes.
What You'll Do:
As a Mental Health Commissioning and Review Officer, your primary focus will be on:
* Completing 12-month statutory reviews of mental health care packages in strict accordance with the Care Act and Section 117 of the Mental Health Act.
* Working within integrated Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs), with one post based at Prescott House in Little Hulton and the other at Ramsgate House in Lower Broughton.
* Delivering essential social care statutory functions as part of Salford's Section 75 arrangements, embedded within Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
* Collaborating closely with other Review Officers to ensure efficient and effective service delivery across all CMHTs in Salford.
* Applying a person-centred and strengths-based approach to all aspects of your work, empowering individuals and promoting their well-being.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking experienced social workers who possess:
* A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, BA Hons Social Work, MA Social Work).
* Current registration with Social Work England.
* Proven experience in delivering relevant social care statutory functions within a mental health setting.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with service users, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams.
* A commitment to a person-centred and strengths-based approach to social work practice.
* The ability to work efficiently and flexibly to meet the diverse needs of the service.
* A full UK driving license and access to a car are essential, as you'll need to travel regularly around Salford and to out-of-area boroughs for placements.
