Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic experienced / recently qualified Advanced Paramedic Practitioner to join our expanding team.
Role: Work autonomously within the GP Practice and community, using enhanced clinical assessment and treatment skill set. Provide safe care including history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation. Communicate and collaborate with the general practice team.
As the Advanced Paramedic Practitioner you will play a key role in delivering primary care services, developing new ways of working alongside the practice pharmacist and other team members.
Responsibilities
* Provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment at first point of contact by attending to patients in practice sites or patients homes/care homes.
* Accurately triage and prioritise patients, including emergency situations.
* Evaluate clinical information from examination and history taking and initiate appropriate definitive treatment.
* Undertake and interpret diagnostics and take appropriate action to manage patient care, distinguishing between abnormal and normal findings.
* Signpost appropriately to other services in the identified healthcare pathway.
* Discharge or treat, as appropriate and within the scope of practice.
* Maintain accurate and systematic documentation of patient interactions.
* Assist with the daily duty list and on‑call triage.
* Advise and support members of the public on healthy lifestyles, health promotion and disease prevention.
* Provide clinical advice to other members of the team where appropriate.
* Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, integrating drug and non‑drug based treatment methods into a management plan.
* Initiate and interpret tests and investigations as appropriate.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Paramedic with HCPC, with recognised qualifications and demonstrable competencies in Advanced Practice.
Experience
* Experienced or recently qualified Advanced Paramedic Practitioner.
