Job Description
* Lead and manage the estimating team across Australia and APAC to ensure high performance and accuracy in project estimates.
* Develop and refine estimating processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
* Review and analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
* Collaborate with the sales department to ensure alignment with client requirements and expectations.
* Provide technical advice and guidance to team members and stakeholders as needed.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies in all estimating activities.
* Prepare and present detailed reports on project costs and potential risks to senior management.
* Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Estimating Team Leader should have:
* A strong background in the industrial or manufacturing industry, with a focus on estimating or cost analysis.
* Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
* Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
* Proficiency in relevant estimating software and tools.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Solid understanding of project management principles and practices.
* A commitment to delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
* CAD experience preferable.
